BIO
Lucca Amortegui is a Colombian-American actress who has grown up immersed in the arts. At a young age, Lucca understands stage acting as a powerful art form and a means to connect with the human condition no matter the audience or genre. An alumna of the inaugural pre-college cohort at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City, Lucca enjoys villainous or hyperbolic characters and experimenting with costume & makeup. She has performed as a youth actor in adult community theatre productions; and most notably as the title role in ESPERANZA RISING, a main season production at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Lucca is a recipient of Northwest School of the Arts’ Outstanding Drama Major Award 2024 and a top ten NC Theatre Conference Excellence in Acting Award, receiving the honor among 400+ student participants statewide.
